[rust] zero2prod Build Log 00

Preface
I stopped posting on this blog for almost six months. I could not keep slacking off, so here I am again. First, a quick update. Some time ago I joined the Ironman blogging contest and picked a topic on how to write C# in a functional style. It turned out badly, so I will not link to it. Most days I had no idea what I was writing, but I forced my way to the finish line.
I picked that topic because I ran into Rust around that time. I also got my first taste of functional programming. Rust struck me as hard, and I retreated to the comfort of C#. By the end of the contest I knew at least a little about FP. The contest is over, so it is time to go back to the Rust that blocked me before.

I found this book when I looked for my next read. The content looks quite good. From here on I will write down my thoughts as I follow the book and build along with it. So far I am only up to the deployment part in chapter five. The book does not go deep into Rust syntax. It does take you by the hand and build a project from zero.
What I like about it is how agile the steps are. The book first shows you how to break down the requirements, and it gives a short introduction to user stories. You get the first usable feature working fast. Then, iteration after iteration, you write tests, refactor, refactor the tests, add a feature, and refactor again. The author also shares his own development experience.
